Market intelligence beyond individual restaurants

Restaurant investment decisions are frequently made with strong company data and weak market data. RMI is building the independent market layer: how cities, segments and price positions are actually trading.

Current reporting

What RMI measures today

RMI currently reports revenue, cover and average spend movement for markets that meet sample sufficiency, with food and beverage split where the dataset supports it.

We do not present capability we do not have. The list below describes applications enabled progressively as network coverage grows, not features available in every market today.

Applications

Enabled as coverage grows

Each application depends on participation density in the relevant market and segment. We will always confirm sample strength before data is used in a transaction context.

  1. 01

    Market and city performance

Revenue, cover and spend movement by city, region and segment over time.
  2. 02

    Segment and price-position trends

Where trade is moving between value, mid-market, premium and luxury positioning.
  3. 03

    Volume versus rate

Whether growth reflects demand or price, an important distinction in valuation.
  4. 04

    Investment diligence

Independent context for a target’s trading record against its actual competitive market.
  5. 05

    Asset performance review

Relative performance of an owned or operated site against comparable restaurants.
  6. 06

    Market feasibility and site evaluation

Segment conditions and trading patterns in markets under consideration.
  7. 07

    City performance

Cover trends, spend movement and segment performance city by city as coverage grows.
  8. 08

    Custom market reporting

Defined market cuts and reporting periods prepared to a stated methodology.

Standards

Institutional expectations

Every figure carries its sample, period and methodology. Revisions are published rather than silently applied. Where a market is insufficient, it is withheld — including where a client would prefer otherwise.

Participant confidentiality is never traded for institutional insight. Individual restaurant records are not available to any subscriber at any commercial tier.

Discuss institutional access

Market data subscriptions, custom market reporting and diligence support are arranged case by case, with sample sufficiency confirmed in advance.
